It's official...JNVHP is now the proud owner of the North 40 feet of Lot 4, Block 27, Original Town of Tuscola, Taylor County, Texas.  This lot is adjacent to the North portion of property donated by the American Legion earlier this year.  This area will be utilized as an outdoor meeting/exhibit area as well as developing an annual alumni reunion and street dance following the school homecoming football games.

Feel free to forward this newsletter to everyone you can think of that has connections to the Jim Ned Valley, left footprints in the area, or those whom are simply interested in heritage preservation.

Jim Ned Valley Heritage Preservation received a generous donation on July 8, 2011. The William A. Graham American Legion Post #664 purchased and then donated the white building at 510 Graham St. in Tuscola which was home to the Legion in the 1980’s. The American Legion Post #664 was formed on June 26, 1979 with Frank Lockman as the first Post Commander, Earnest Mayfield was Adjutant, Jim Helser was Finance Officer, Mike Pueschel was Sergeant-At-Arms, and James Watson was Chaplin. In September 1979, Post #664 was named for Corporal William A. Graham, who died in 1942 during World War II combat.
